Overview

This powerful, intelligent, all-in-one network surveillance recorder is extremely easy to use for multi-camera monitoring, recording, search and playback. It offers 250 GB storage capacity, 120 frames per second recording and support for up to 20 audio channels.

Incorporating intelligent video analytics including Video Motion Filter Alarms and Video Motion Filter Searches it provides high levels of operational efficiency and security.

It can be deployed as a stand-alone system or in a small- to large-scale client/server configuration, and uses the reliable Linux operating system.

Save time and effort at setup

This recorder is designed to complete setup tasks without user intervention, saving you time and effort. A setup wizard detects all networked cameras, gives each an IP address and even creates a monitoring layout. You'll find the graphical user interface (GUI) is intuitive and very user friendly.

Built-in intelligence simplifies monitoring

Enjoy fewer false alarms and greater accuracy with built-in motion and object detection intelligence. The joystick keyboard simplifies all operations. You can view hot-spot areas and multiple screens on dual monitors. Choose your preferred default layout or customise one to your specific requirements.

You' ll find its easy to search for image data by time, date, recording type and camera number. You can perform simultaneous playback of multiple cameras. And you can choose from many export options: DVD-R, CD-R/RW, CF card, video output and USB memory.

The recorder captures high-quality images from multiple cameras at a rate of 1200 frames per second (4 cameras x 30 fps). It has a 250 GB capacity hard disk drive (with a mechanism for quick, easy data recovery if the drive becomes corrupted).

Intelligent video analytics

Based on the Sony Distributed Processing Architecture (DEPA) platform, this efficient and intelligent processing method enables the recorder to use metadata and filters received from DEPA-enabled cameras to analyse object movement Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD) and Intelligent Object Detection (IOD). This minimises server workload, network bandwidth and storage capacity.

Intelligent Video Motion Filter Alarm and Intelligent Motion Detection (IMD)

With DEPA-enabled cameras, the filter alarm lets you limit alarm triggers to specific object movements/situations, and to specific object size/direction/speed (you simply exclude any objects that should not trigger an alarm). The built-in IMD function works independently of the cameras to trigger an alarm or perform other actions (e.g., lock doors, turn on lights).

Intelligent Video Motion Filter Search and other intelligent search features

Use the filters you set for DEPA-enabled camera monitoring for your searches. This drastically reduces your image retrieval and review/audit times. You can also search for recently recorded images from a recording list, and perform advanced searches to locate recorded images by designating cameras, date, time and recording/alarm type.

Ease-of-use features: intelligent setup and intuitive GUI

The recorder automatically recognises and registers any installed network cameras and assigns IP addresses. It also generates an appropriate monitoring layout based on the number of registered cameras. The intuitive, user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) lets you set up viewer windows in various combinations.

Remote control

From a remote location, you can control up to 100 recorders from a single PC running the supplied software. This enables basic operations (live image monitoring, recording, playback and image search) and AVI file export to another location. An optional remote control unit lets you control both the recorder and networked cameras.

Multiple hot-spot monitoring and dual-monitor support

You can assign a hot-spot area (a specific monitor window within a multi-camera view) and configure the system with dual monitors. This lets you assign up to nine hot-spot monitor windows to the second monitor to ensure crucial events are not missed.

MPEG-4/JPEG support

The recorder supports recording and playback for cameras that encode in both MPEG-4 and JPEG, giving you more options when configuring your network monitoring system.

Flexible recording modes

Different recording modes including manual, scheduled, hardware alarm, pre- and post-alarm, and motion-base recording give you greater choice when deciding what to record..
